By default, KDE Plasma on Wayland often ships with "Tap-to-click" disabled. Users on laptops immediately think the trackpad is broken because they have to physically click the pad down. Forcing Tap-to-click and Natural Scrolling (if desired) via a default config file saves instant frustration.
